Everything couples ask us.
How much does it cost to mail invitations?
Invitations cost what every card we mail costs. A 6x9 invitation is $3 with postage, $2.75 each from 10 and $2.50 each from 50. A 4x6 save the date or thank-you card is $2, $1.75 from 10 and $1.50 from 50. A thank-you letter is $3. Sales tax where it applies.
When should I send save the dates and invitations?
Save the dates usually go out six to twelve months before the wedding, and invitations six to eight weeks before. You can order today and pick the day your cards mail, up to a year ahead. We hold them and mail them on that day. A card usually arrives in 7 to 10 business days.
Can each invitation have the guest’s name on it?
Yes. Upload your guest list and every invitation is printed with its own guest line on the front, like For The Delgado Family, and its own address on the back.
How do the cards arrive?
Flat, like a postcard, full color on both sides. The guest’s address and the postage are printed on the back, so there is nothing to stuff, seal or stamp. Your message goes on the back too.
How do guests RSVP?
Make a free RSVP page with us and a QR code with a short link prints on each invitation. Guests scan it, say yes or no, how many are coming and pick a meal if you offer one. Every reply shows up in your account. Prefer your own wedding website? Put its address in the reply line instead.
Can I see it before I pay?
Yes. The preview is drawn from your own words, the way we will print them. Want to hold one in your hand first? Send a single card to yourself ($3), then send the rest.
Is it for every kind of couple?
Yes. The designs never assume a bride and a groom: names go in any order, and the words are yours to change before you check out.
Is the message handwritten?
Your message is printed in a handwriting-style font you choose. Nobody writes it with a pen, and we never say otherwise.
How do I add my guest list?
Type the addresses in, or upload a spreadsheet with name, address, city, state and ZIP. Up to 400 guests a list. Add a column for the guest line and another for the gift, and each card or thank-you letter fills them in.
Can I mail to guests outside the US?
Wedding cards mail to addresses in the United States, including APO/FPO addresses. For guests abroad, a letter can go to several countries; ask us.
What do you do with our guest list?
We use it only to print and mail your cards. We never sell it or use it for marketing. RSVP replies are kept for one year after the wedding date, then deleted; you can delete them sooner. Read our privacy policy.
What if a card is wrong or never arrives?
Write to us at hello@invitationsbymail.com with your order number. A person reads every message. See our refund policy.
